ABOUT US >

The Carmel Democratic Club was founded in August 2019 in order to build the base of the Democratic party, develop progressive community leadership, increase civic engagement, and to support Democratic candidates for public office. The Club, a Section 501(c)(7) nonprofit, is chartered within the structure of the Hamilton County and Indiana Democratic Party organizations.

Who Can Join?

Membership in the Carmel Democratic Club is open to Democrats of all ages, though members must be at least 18 years of age to vote on or hold Club offices. Per our bylaws, "Membership shall be available without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identification."

Prospective members are welcome to attend up to two meetings as a guest of the Club. Please subscribe to our emails if you'd like to be notified of upcoming meetings.

Dues

Currently, membership dues are set at $25 for individuals and $50 for families (defined as two adults and their children under 18 living in the same household). Dues are collected to support the operational expenses of the Club, including meeting space, internet hosting, and office supplies. However, we don't want cost to be a barrier to membership, so please contact us if you have any concerns.

To avoid processing fees, we encourage members to pay dues by check, made out to "Carmel Democratic Club" and delivered to the Club treasurer.

We also offer the option of paying by credit or debit card via our ActBlue page.
